Jennifer Wagner

Jennifer Wagner has extensive experience in the fields of plant breeding, education, and wildlife biology. Jennifer currently works as a Plant Breeding Project Specialist at Nature Source Improved Plants, LLC. Jennifer previously worked as a Lecturer at SUNY Cortland for three years, where they designed lectures and exercises for students and conducted research on innovative educational approaches. Jennifer also served as an Adjunct Professor at Onondaga Community College for one year.

Jennifer Wagner gained valuable experience at Virginia Tech, where they held two roles. As a Laboratory Instructor in Ornithology, they designed and delivered lectures and field trips, teaching students about bird anatomy, behavior, and identification. Jennifer also conducted research on the effects of incubation temperature on avian offspring phenotype and managed a research animal colony.

Jennifer Wagner's earlier experiences include working as an Educator at Minnetrista, where they developed curriculum and led programs related to nature, science, and art. Jennifer Wagner completed their Ph.D. coursework in Wildlife Conservation, Biology, and Ecology from Virginia Tech between 2013 and 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Biology from Ball State University from 2010 to 2012. Jennifer's undergraduate studies were conducted at the State University of New York Cortland, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Conservation Biology from 2001 to 2005. In addition to their formal education, Jennifer also holds a certification as a Certified Interpretive Guide from the National Association of Interpreters.
