Rich Macur

Co-Founder/Senior Scientist at Nature's Fynd

Rich Macur started their career as a Research Assistant Professor and Research Associate at Montana State University in 1990. During their time there, they taught courses and conducted research on environmental topics such as thermal biology, bioremediation, biofertilizers, and soils. In 2012, they co-founded Nature's Fynd and took on the role of Co-Founder and Senior Scientist. In this position, they utilized their broad background in microbiology, geochemistry, molecular biology, analytical chemistry, soil science, and bioprocessing using fungi and algae. Rich has also authored and co-authored numerous publications in peer-reviewed science journals and books. Additionally, Rich worked as a Consultant and Owner at REM Environmental LLC, where they provided environmental consulting services to energy, biotechnology, and environmental firms as a microbiologist, geochemist, and soil scientist.

Rich Macur received their Master's degree in Soil Chemistry from Montana State University-Bozeman in 1989. Rich then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Geomicrobiology/Geochemistry at Montana State University-Bozeman, completing their degree in 2004.
