Dan Sawyer

Dan Sawyer has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Dan started their career at Leeann Chin as a Server/Cook in 1989 and worked there until 1994. Dan then joined 3M as a Tech Aide in October 1991 and continued until March 1995. In 1998, they joined Cargill Dow as a Manager - Fiber Applications Development, and their tenure lasted until July 2003.

Dan joined NatureWorks in 1995 as an Applications Engineer, where they provided customer technical support, led customer technical development projects, and developed new products and application areas. Dan held this role until 2009.

At NatureWorks, Dan held various positions, including the role of Commercial Director, Asia-Pacific from August 2009 to August 2012. From June 2011 to September 2021, they served as the Global Leader for a new business segment, where they developed and executed new business strategies, managed the global segment's P&L and resource strategies, and assessed and developed strategic growth opportunities and new market segments. Dan then transitioned to the role of Business Development Leader from June 2017 to September 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Commercial Director - Americas Region at NatureWorks starting from September 2021.

Dan Sawyer attended the University of Minnesota from 1989 to 1994, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemical Engineering.
