Qi Hu

Qi Hu is a highly experienced Principal System Design Engineer at Natus Medical Incorporated since December 2019, with a strong background in optomechanical design. Previous roles at Natus include Senior Optomechanical Design Engineer and Optomechanical Design Engineer, where Qi led optomechanical design efforts on new product introduction (NPI) projects. Prior to Natus, Qi served as Head of Optical R&D at Windar Photonics A/S, overseeing all optical design and contributing as an Industrial Ph.D. student focused on semiconductor laser wind lidar for turbine control. Early career experience includes positions at DTU Space as a Technical Assistant, responsible for quality control and testing of electronic components, and as a Research Assistant at DTU Fotonik, researching Mid-IR spectroscopy. Qi holds a Ph.D. in Photonics Engineering and multiple degrees in Physics and Nanotechnology from the Technical University of Denmark.
