Kevin Dearing

Kevin Dearing is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the banking and finance sector, currently serving as the Head of API Commercialisation at NatWest Group since May 2018. In this role, Kevin leads a large team to drive the commercialisation of Open Finance, focusing on areas such as data monetisation, lending, payments, and digital identity. Under Kevin's leadership, NatWest has earned a reputation as a leader in Open Banking in the UK, launching innovative projects including partnerships with Facebook for Embedded Lending and a Digital ID pilot involving 100,000 customers. Prior to NatWest, Kevin held various leadership positions at RBS, where responsibilities included developing strategies for Open Banking and managing significant investments in banking technology. Early career experience includes roles at Capital One and Boots UK Ltd, where Kevin influenced financial and strategic outcomes through analysis and economic consultancy. Kevin holds a BSc in Economics from Loughborough University.
