Scott Marcar

Scott Marcar is the Group CIO at NatWest Group. Scott was previously the Chief Information Officer, Corporate and Investment Banking, and Chief Technology Officer at Deutsche Bank from October 2014 to September 2022. Prior to that, they were the Chief Information Officer, Markets at RBS Markets & International Banking from January 2007 to September 2014. Scott also served as the Chief Business Technologist, Emerging Markets at JPMorgan Chase from January 2004 to December 2006, and as the Global Head of Exotics Technology at JP Morgan Chase from January 2001 to December 2003. Scott began their career at J.P. Morgan in 1994 as a Vice President and held that position until 2001.

Scott Marcar studied chemistry at the University of Warwick. Scott then attended Chigwell School for their secondary education. Finally, they went to Chigwell School again for further study.

Scott Marcar reports to Alison Rose, Group CEO. Scott Marcar works with Jan Cargill - Chief Governance Officer & Company Secretary, Paul Thwaite - CEO, Commercial Banking, and Margaret Jobling - CMO.
