Katherine Harmon Courage

Katherine Harmon Courage is a seasoned journalist and editor currently serving as Deputy Editor at Nautilus Magazine since November 2022. With extensive experience as an Independent Writer and Editor at Courage Media LLC since May 2008, Katherine has contributed original articles to prestigious publications such as The New York Times, NPR, and Scientific American. As an author, Katherine published "Cultured" in 2019 and "Octopus!" in 2013 through Penguin Random House. Previous roles include Director of Communications for the College of Natural Sciences at Colorado State University, and various editorial positions at Scientific American and other media outlets. Katherine holds an MA in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a BA in English from Vassar College.
