Cyrus Sethna

Cyrus Sethna is currently the Communications Lead at Nava. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Communications for the Office of the Chief Data Officer at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services from February 2021 to October 2021. Cyrus also worked as the Communications Lead for the United States Digital Service from February 2018 to January 2021.

Sethna has extensive experience in media relations, preparing spokespeople, proactive storytelling, reactive messaging, social media, engaging newsletter audiences, and stakeholder management. Cyrus has successfully landed stories in mainstream, technology, and government-focused media outlets to drive excitement around USDS mission and recruiting efforts.

Sethna is skilled in organizing and staffing press tours in cities including New York, San Francisco, and Chicago. Cyrus has also managed full-time and contract employees.

Cyrus Sethna's educational career includes a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from The Ohio State University, a Master's Certificate in Project Management from Graduate School USA, a Spring 2017 Mentorship Program in Computer Programming from Chicago Python User Group (ChiPy), and a Spanish Courtroom Interpreter Training from Supreme Court of Illinois. Cyrus also holds certificates in Social Media Marketing and Strategic Marketing from DePaul University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language and Literature from The Ohio State University. Cyrus's high school diploma is from Nordonia High School. Additionally, they have certification from Coursera in Firm Level Economics: Consumer and Producer Behavior, and Social Media Marketing from DePaul University.
