Loren Yu is a Senior Software Engineer and Co-Founder at Nava. Loren has over 8 years of experience in the tech industry, with a focus on product management, user experience design, website UI, user and usability testing, analytics, and project management.

Loren started their career as a Product Manager at Kanjoya in 2010. At Kanjoya, Loren worked directly with users, engineers, designers, and sales to design, build, and grow the product. Loren also helped guide engineering architecture and processes such as source control flows, code reviews, unit testing, javascript and css architecture, pair programming, etc.

In 2013, Loren left Kanjoya to join Skillshare.com as a Software Engineer. At Skillshare, Loren worked on building and improving the Skillshare platform. In 2014, Loren left Skillshare to join healthcare.gov as the Lead Software Engineer. At healthcare.gov, Loren worked on improving the website and making it more user-friendly. In 2016, Loren left healthcare.gov to start Nava.

At Nava, Loren is responsible for leading the engineering team and overseeing all technical aspects of the company. Loren is also responsible for Nava’s product roadmap and working with the team to ensure that Nava’s products are high quality and meet the needs of its users.

Loren Yu attended Flintridge Preparatory School and Glendale Montessori Elementary School before going on to study computer science and human computer interaction at Stanford University, where they earned a Master of Science degree.
