Romain Hugues

Romain Hugues currently serves as Responsable ingénierie système at NAVAL GROUP since May 2023. Previously, Romain held various positions at Thales Alenia Space from February 2014 to April 2023, including Head of Observation & Sciences End2End System and Ground Segment Engineering team, where leadership extended to a team of 50 engineers with a focus on objective setting and professional development. Additional roles included Mission & Data Valorization Team Manager, overseeing a 15-engineer team while also serving as the system architect for Earth Observation data valorization, and Big Data for Earth Observation Engineer, contributing to digital transformation initiatives. Romain's early career includes roles as an R&D Engineer at Fugro Intersite B.V., Imaging Chain Engineer at Thales, and Technical Coordinator at IRT AESE - Saint Exupéry. Romain's academic foundation was established with an engineering degree in Signal Processing and Control Theory for Embedded Systems from ENSTA.
