Shanmugam Subramaniam has over a decade of experience in the field of ROV piloting and technology. Currently serving as an ROV Pilot Tech Grade 1 at DCNS since March 2015, Shanmugam previously held positions as an ROV Pilot and ROV Trainee Pilot at Horizon Survey from January 2013 to March 2014, and worked as an ROV Pilot Tech at Seascape Surveys from 2012 to 2013. Educational qualifications include an NTC2 in Automotive Technology obtained from ITE Ang Mo Kio between 2000 and 2001, and an NTC2 in Automotive Mechanics Technology completed at the same institution from 1999 to 2000.
