Jung-Woo Ha

Jung-Woo Ha has an extensive work experience in the field of AI research and innovation. Jung-Woo started their career at NAVER Corp in 2015, where they held various roles including Coordination Chair of NAVER AI Tech Committee, Head of NAVER AI Lab, and Research Head of Clova AI. In 2021, Ha became the Co-Director of two AI centers, KAIST-NAVER Hypercreative AI Center and SNU-NAVER Hyperscale AI Center. Jung-Woo also served as the Head of Future AI Center at NAVER Corp in 2024. Ha has been involved in academia as well, working as an Adjunct Associate Professor at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and holding positions at the National Academy of Engineering of Korea. Throughout their career, Ha has been actively involved in various conferences and committees, such as NeurIPS and ICML. Currently, they are working as the Head of AI Innovation at NAVER Cloud.

Jung-Woo Ha has a strong education background in the field of computer science. In 1997, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Seoul National University. Jung-Woo later pursued further studies and completed their Ph.D. in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence at Seoul National University from 2006 to 2015. Prior to their undergraduate studies, they attended a school called "Gwangju Science High School" from 1993 to 1995, although no degree was specified for this period.
