Irene Afonso Melchor has significant experience in maritime operations, currently serving as Chief Officer at Naviera Armas since August 2018, with previous roles including Second Officer and Third Officer. Irene began the maritime career as a Deck Cadet at Boluda Corporación Marítima and continued in a similar capacity at Naviera Armas S.A. Irene holds a Master's degree in Nautical Engineering and Maritime Management from Universidad de Cantabria and a Bachelor's degree in Nautical and Maritime Transport from Universidad de La Laguna.
