Joseph McKenna

Joseph McKenna has had a diverse range of roles and experiences in their work history. Joseph currently holds the position of Vice President of Threat Detection and Prevention Program Development at Navigate360, starting in May 2023. Prior to this, they worked as an Adjunct Professor at Texas State University from September 2016.

Before their current role, McKenna was a Senior Research Associate at WestEd from February 2021 to May 2023. Joseph also briefly served as Deputy Superintendent at Comal Independent School District from April 2022 to July 2022.

At Comal Independent School District, McKenna held multiple roles, including Executive Director of School Safety and Student Support from August 2019 to February 2021, and Director of Safety and Security from August 2018 to August 2019.

In addition, McKenna has extensive experience at the Texas School Safety Center. Joseph McKenna completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Roger Williams University between the years 2007 and 2011. Joseph then pursued further education and obtained a Master's degree in Criminal Justice from Texas State University from 2011 to 2013. Following this, Joseph continued their academic journey at Texas State University and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Criminal Justice between 2013 and 2016.
