Katharina J. Kases

Katharina J. Kases has a diverse range of work experience in the field of scientific research and laboratory engineering. Katharina J. is currently working as a Laboratory Engineer at Navinci Diagnostics since April 2022. Previously, they completed a research internship at Uppsala University from October 2021 to April 2022, focusing on human antiviral proteins. Before that, they undertook a Master Thesis Project at Uppsala University from April 2021 to August 2021, studying the roles of PABPN1 in regulating HAdV RNA nuclear export. Additionally, they participated in various research projects during their graduate studies at Uppsala University, including investigating SARS-CoV-2 S gene mutagenicity and characterizing the human protein ZC3H11A. Prior to their graduate studies, Katharina worked as an Assistant in Clinical Microbiology at Labor Dr. Monika Breuer from February 2017 to July 2019. Katharina J. also completed a Bachelor Thesis Project at the Medical University of Vienna from September 2018 to December 2018, focusing on the impact of glucose derivatives on human rhinovirus B14 replication in HeLa cells.
