Rachael West

Rachael West is a Research Scientist at AbCellera since April 2020, leading functional biology projects and collaborating with both international and domestic partners. Key responsibilities include managing cell-based functional assay screening campaigns, tissue culture, transient transfections, and flow cytometry, while also maintaining flow cytometry equipment. Prior experience includes roles as an Associate Research Scientist and Research Assistant at the University of Sydney, where Rachael focused on manuscript writing, fraud detection software, and supervising undergraduates. Additional positions include Operations Assistant at Vaxxas, Genetics Tutor at The University of Queensland, and Lab Technician at Structerre Consulting Engineers. Rachael holds an Honours degree in Biology/Biological Sciences with a focus on Immunology from The University of Queensland and a Bachelor of Science in Genetics and Microbiology from The Australian National University.
