Maria Valerie Catapang has a diverse work experience. Maria Valerie started their professional career as a Director for Facilities in the PLM Supreme Student Council, where they served from August 2019 to March 2020. Maria Valerie then became an Ambassador for External Affairs in the PLM College of Engineering and Technology Student Council from August 2019 to March 2020 as well. In 2020, Maria worked as an Ambassador for iMPACT from July to August and as a Graduate Intern in Senator Kiko Pangilinan's office in September. During the same year, they also held the role of Director for Campus Leadership in the PLM Tugon-ReSCUE organization from August 2020 to February 2021. Maria was also an Acting College of Engineering and Technology Representative in the PLM Supreme Student Council from August 2020 to February 2021 and an Auditor in the same organization from October 2020 to February 2021. Additionally, Maria served as a PLM Mental Health Facilitator at the National Board of Certified Counselors, Inc and Affiliates from August 2020 to February 2023. Most recently, they joined Navitaire, an Amadeus company, as an Associate Software Quality Assurance Engineer in February 2023 and advanced to the role of Software Quality Assurance Engineer in July 2023. Maria Valerie then moved on to Santa Isabel College of Manila and studied Junior High School from 2013 to 2017. Maria Valerie Catapang continued their education at the same institution and pursued Senior High School, majoring in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, from 2017 to 2019. Finally, they attended Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila from 2019 to 2022, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering.
