Victor Curtis

Victor Curtis is the Senior Vice President of Pharmacy for Costco Wholesale. He reports to Ron Vachris, Executive Vice President of Merchandising and Costco’s Chief Merchandising Officer. Vic's responsibilities include the operation of 534 pharmacies in the U.S. and merchandising and buying responsibility for prescription and non-prescription pharmacy-related products.

Vic started his retail and professional career as a pharmacist at Sav-on Drugs in Southern California. Over 13 years, Vic rose from staff pharmacist to pharmacy manager at several high-volume locations. In 1991, following a move to Northern California, Vic joined Costco and opened the company's new pharmacy in Chico, California.

During his 25 years at Costco, Vic has held positions as Pharmacy Manager, Regional Pharmacy Supervisor in the Bay Area and Northwest regions, AGMM, AVP, Vice President of Pharmacy Merchandising, and Vice President of Pharmacy Operations.

Vic was instrumental in the launch of Costco's online, mail order, and specialty pharmacy business units. Other projects under Vic’s guidance include the development of centralized prescription fulfillment and Costco’s PBM services.

Within the industry, Vic works to advance the profession of pharmacy as a member of the National Association of Chain Drugstore's Retail Advisory Board, the NACDS Foundation, and the NACDS Policy Council.

A California native, Vic earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from California State University, San Bernardino, and received a degree in Pharmacy from Idaho State University, College of Pharmacy in Pocatello, Idaho.
