Job description

The successful candidate will identify, evaluate and cultivate new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, customers and funding streams, with primary emphasis on U.S. Government (USG) Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and associated services and products.  This position reports to the Director of Business Development and Marketing, and also acts as primary interface between existing/potential UAS customers and the VP of UAS Sector on all USG UAS business-related subjects and opportunities.  This position requires broad knowledge of, and extensive experience working within the USG acquisition environment.

  • Develop/enhance in-depth knowledge of the USG UAS market for Group 3-5 UAS aircraft, products and services to help NASC penetrate this market space more deeply.

  • Build and develop relationships with potential new customers and identify their requirements that NASC could satisfy.

  • Monitor sales progress and communicate sales schedules with the NASC Director of Business Development.

  • Continually monitor open federal contract opportunities to rapidly identify, research and evaluate US and Foreign Military Sales UAS offerings.

  • Work on proposal teams to generate content for corporate responses to Sources Sought, Requests for Information and Requests for Proposals.

  • Build MS PowerPoint presentations for meetings with current and potential customers regarding NASC UAS products and services.

  • Assist the NASC Marketing Department in creating print and website content/ marketing material for UAS products and services.

  • Ensure that all business is conducted using the highest ethical standards and in compliance with NASC Code of Conduct and all applicable laws, statutes, and regulations.

  • Ensure that program requirements, purposes, objectives, and expectations are communicated between customers to the internal team and subcontractors.

  • Position based at NASC Pax River office.  Telework negotiable but will increase travel requirements.

  • BS/BA in related technical field (preferred) plus eight years or more related experience.

  • Related technical or military experience may be considered in lieu of education.

  • Transitioning Military Officer/GS preferred

  • Prior assignment to, or experience working with NAVAIR/NAWC/PMA organizations desired

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

  • 15-20 years experience; salary is based on experience and ranges from $85k-$112k per year
