Damian Barrous-Dume

Damian Barrous-Dume has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Damian is currently working as a DevOps Engineer at Navteca. Prior to this, they served as a Software Engineer Intern at Vimeo in 2021. Damian also worked as a Cloud Engineer at Dantech Corporation Inc. from 2020 to 2021.

In 2020, Damian had multiple roles at Salem State University, including Full Stack Developer and Student Database Architect. As a Full Stack Developer, they redesigned and rebuilt the CS Department website using ReactJS library. Damian also facilitated meetings with stakeholders, managed the product backlog, and handled release planning and sprint reviews. Additionally, Damian worked on an art gallery database management system as a Student Database Architect.

Before that, Damian worked as an Instructor at Coding With Kids, where they taught web development fundamentals to students aged 6 to 16. Damian was also a Full Stack Developer at Bertini's Inc, contributing to the development of their website.

Damian has actively participated in tech events and conferences, including React Day, FullStack, and C Square Hackathon, where they won 1st place for Best Community Hack.

Damian Barrous-Dume studied Computer Science at Salem State University from 2016 to 2020, earning a degree in Computer Science. In September 2020, they obtained the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services. Damian then pursued an MSc in Software Engineering at City, University of London, starting in 2021 and is expected to graduate in 2022.
