Hemant Mehta

Hemant Mehta currently serves as General Manager at NAVTOR since February 2023. Prior to this role, Hemant was the Head of Maersk Legal Shared Services at Maersk Line Fleet Management & Technology from January 2020 to December 2022. Hemant's experience includes a position as Insurance Manager at Scorpio Group from November 2014 to December 2019, overseeing marine and non-marine insurance placements, underwriting, claims, risk management, and loss prevention. Additionally, Hemant held the role of Voyage Manager at Scorpio Marine Management (I) Pvt. Ltd. from May 2013 to November 2014, focusing on commercial operations for tankers. Earlier career experience also includes Deputy General Manager at Varun Shipping Company Limited from September 2010 to May 2013, managing commercial operations and marine insurance. Hemant began the career as a Cadet-Master from February 1998 to September 2010. Hemant holds an Executive MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Indore, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Mumbai, and a Bachelor of Science in Nautical Sciences from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
