Dietrich Kuhlmann

Dietrich Kuhlmann serves as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Real Estate Lending Officer at Navy Federal Credit Union, where responsibilities include executing strategies that establish Navy Federal as a leading mortgage lender and significant VA loan provider. Prior experience includes serving as Executive Vice President of Branch Operations, overseeing member service across 11 countries with a team of over 4,400 personnel. Prior to Navy Federal, Dietrich Kuhlmann held key roles in the US Navy, including Director of the Programming Division, where management of an $800 billion capital allocation process took place, and as Commander of Submarine Group 9, leading a large organization of over 3,000 personnel. Educational qualifications include a BS in General Engineering from the United States Naval Academy, an MS in Engineering Management from The Catholic University of America, and participation in the Seminar XXI Fellowship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
