Tom is also a Partner and Consultant at the same company and focuses on executive leadership, fundraising, executive search, and staff training for not-for-profit organizations.

In addition to their current role, Tom has held various positions throughout their career. Tom served as the Wisconsin State President and Milwaukee Chapter President at the Navy League of the United States, where they focused on rebuilding membership. Tom was also the Executive Director of the World Affairs Seminar at the Wisconsin World Affairs Council, Inc., where they aimed to develop future world leaders among high school students.

Tom has demonstrated their financial expertise as the Treasurer of the Cardinal Dery Foundation and as the Executive Director and CEO of the Froedtert Hospital Foundation. Tom Plantenberg earned a Diploma in College Prep from Cathedral High School from 1963 to 1967. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication & Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from 1974 to 1976. Later, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Public Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, where they studied from 1978 to 1987.
