Hassan Shah

Hassan Shah's work experience includes various roles in the field of anti-money laundering (AML) and compliance. Hassan started their career in 2012 at Bank Al Habib Limited, where they worked as an AML/CFT Analyst Supervisor. Hassan'sresponsibilities included supervising SWIFT/remittance screenings, post-facto review of accounts, and assisting the MLRO in meeting AML unit obligations.

Hassan then moved on to become a Compliance Officer in the Retail Banking Group, ensuring the implementation of regulations and the bank's policies. After that, they took on the role of Divisional Compliance Officer, where they provided assistance and oversight in compliance-related issues in Home Remittance Business.

In 2018, Hassan joined MCB Islamic Bank Ltd., where they held multiple positions. Hassan started as a Senior AML Analyst, prioritizing and reviewing alerts generated by the Transaction Monitoring System and conducting CDD/EDD reviews. Hassan then became a Manager in Transaction Monitoring, responsible for screening alerts triggered on SWIFT messages and analyzing transaction patterns.

Hassan'slast role at MCB Islamic Bank Ltd. was as the Head of the CFT Desk & Screening, where they managed the screening process and supervised the team.

Currently, they are working at NayaPay as an Assistant Manager in AML & Global Remittances Ops, starting in November 2022.

Hassan Shah pursued their higher education starting in 2009. From 2009 to 2012, they attended Mohammad Ali Jinnah University (MAJU) and completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Finance, General. Hassan then continued their studies at the Institute of Business Management, where they earned another Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Arts, Entertainment, and Media Management, completing the program in 2014.
