Shmuel Fishman

Shmuel Fishman has a diverse and extensive work experience. Shmuel worked as the Chief Architect at Nayax from March 2018 to the present. Prior to Nayax, they served as the Principal Architect for McAfee's Database Security suite, starting in May 2015. Shmuel has been involved with this product since its inception and has provided consulting work and development on the product's core technologies.

Before joining McAfee, Shmuel was self-employed as an IT architect and consultant from October 2010 to May 2015. Shmuel was responsible for various IT architectural and consulting projects during this time. Prior to that, Shmuel was the CTO at db@net from June 2000 to September 2010. In this role, they handled complex technological issues, acted as a system architect and administrator, Oracle DBA, and versatile programmer.

Shmuel's work experience also includes their time at the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), where they worked as an Oracle DBA and developer from May 1994 to June 2000. Shmuel was responsible for software development and database administration of an ERP-like solution for the IDF, managing 40 Oracle sites with large-scale data replication and distributed transactions. Additionally, Shmuel provided support and custom solutions for developers using Oracle development tools.

Prior to their work at IDF, Shmuel worked as a UNIX system administrator and programmer at ACTCOM - ACTive COMmunication Ltd. from May 1992 to May 1994. Shmuel was involved in the initial setup of all ISP servers and services, as well as the localization of tools. Shmuel's early career includes their role as a UNIX system manager at Technion-Machon Technologi Le' Israel from an unknown start date to May 1994. In this position, they handled UNIX system administration for shared servers at the main computer center of the Technion, providing routine administration for all faculties servers.

Shmuel Fishman completed their education at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology from 1991 to 1994. During this period, they studied Chemistry. In 1994, they also attended MAMRAM for a brief period to enhance their computer programming skills. No specific degree was mentioned for either educational experience.
