Bigad Shaban

Bigad Shaban is a Senior Investigative Reporter at NBC Bay Area since July 2015, known for developing impactful television and digital investigations that highlight systemic problems and hold the powerful accountable. Shaban created the six-part investigative series 'Saving San Francisco' for NBC’s PEACOCK streaming platform. Previously, Shaban worked as a Correspondent for CBS News from October 2011 to May 2015, covering significant stories across the country and abroad, including natural disasters and the London Olympics. Additional experience includes reporter and fill-in anchor roles at WVUE-TV Fox 8 and WWL-TV Channel 4 in New Orleans, as well as a reporter and interim weekend anchor at KGAN TV. Shaban holds a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunication-News and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Florida.
