Sara Bueno has extensive work experience in the media industry, with a focus on digital media and news production. Sara started their career as a DiamondVision Sports Intern at the Oakland Athletics in 1994. Sara then worked as a Sports Intern at KRON-TV in 1995, where they assisted in logging sporting events and selecting clips for sports segment highlights. From 1997 to 1999, Sara served as a Video Editor at AVR, compiling video reels and creating customized video slates for corporate clients.

In 1999, Sara joined ABC7 News (KGO-TV) as an Assignment Desk Assistant and Production Assistant, quickly rising to the role of Desk Assistant and fill-in Assignment Editor. Sara'sresponsibilities included story research, monitoring breaking news, and day file preparation. In 2000, Sara moved to Yahoo! as an Associate Producer and Guest Booker, producing and booking interview segments for Yahoo! FinanceVision.

From 2003 to 2012, Sara worked at ABC7 News (KGO-TV) as a Senior Web Producer, where they supervised a team of digital producers and oversaw the quality of daily news content published on the station's digital platforms. Sara assigned stories and content publishing, with a focus on timely breaking local and national news.

Since 2012, Sara has been employed at NBC Bay Area, where they initially served as the Digital Director. In this role, they oversaw the station's website, mobile site, apps, and social media platforms, ensuring alignment with the station's brand and strategy. Sara managed a team of digital editors and freelancers, with a focus on local news coverage. In 2019, Sara was promoted to VP Digital, continuing their responsibilities in overseeing the station's digital presence.

Throughout their career, Sara Bueno has demonstrated their expertise in the digital media landscape, managing teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality news content.

Sara Bueno completed their high school education at Hillsdale High School from 1986 to 1990. Sara then pursued their higher education at San Francisco State University from 1990 to 1996, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts.
