Melanie L Simon

Melanie L Simon is a Registered Occupational Therapist with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Stony Brook University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine. Since December 2019, Melanie has been employed by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) while also working as a CDPAP Personal Assistant at Maxim Healthcare Services since February 2019. Previous experience includes providing care to consumers with Stage 4 Parkinsonism and dementia, delivering occupational therapy services in various settings including outpatient neurologic/orthopedic environments, as well as non-traditional pediatric treatment for youth with disabilities. Melanie has a strong background in conducting evaluations, guiding wellness workshops for individuals with Parkinson's Disease, and collaborating with educators and specialists to enhance therapeutic interventions. Educational credentials also include a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Nutrition from Rutgers University and an Associate of Science in Chemistry from Brookdale Community College.
