Fouad Salhi, PhD in Polymer Science, has a diverse and extensive work experience. Starting as a Research Associate at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 1999, they worked on the development of a new concept of synthesis for hyperbranched polymers. Moving on to Georgia Institute of Technology as a Research Associate, from 2000 to 2002, they focused on designing synthesis processes for stacked conjugated polymers for electronics applications. Transitioning to industry, they joined Imperial Chemical Industries as a Research Scientist, and later moved to National Starch and Chemical, acquired by Henkel Corporation, where they led multiproject efforts utilizing nanotechnology in various applications. At Henkel, in different roles from 2008 to 2019, they oversaw research and development initiatives, led new product development teams, managed global projects, and spearheaded open innovation efforts in areas such as 3D printing technologies. Currently, Fouad serves as the Vice President of Research and Development at NBD Nanotechnologies starting from June 2019.
Fouad Salhi earned a Master's Degree in Polymer Science from CEA (French Atomic Center) in Grenoble in 1994. Fouad then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Polymer Science at the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF) in France, which they completed in 1999.
