Payam Emami is a bioinformatician with extensive experience in bioinformatics support for research projects in Sweden and a strong academic background in the field. Currently, Emami works as a bioinformatician at the National Bioinformatics Infrastructure Sweden and Stockholm University since November 2018. Emami has previously held the position of postdoctoral researcher at Karolinska Institutet and was a PhD student at Uppsala University, specializing in bioinformatics and mass spectrometry data processing. Emami also has experience as a director manager at Borna Andish Sepahan, a software engineering firm. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Bioinformatics from Uppsala University, a Master's degree in Bioinformatics from the University of Tampere, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Software Engineering from ACECR, and an Associate's degree in Computer Science from Islamic Azad University.
NBIS – National Bioinformatics Infrastructure Sweden
NBIS is a distributed national bioinformatics infrastructure, supporting life sciences in Sweden. NBIS will enable world-class life science by providing expert knowledge, creative data integration, advanced training, efficient data publication and access to high-performance data and analysis methods. NBIS will continue coordinating bioinformatics support within Sweden and make bioinformatics easily accessible for life science researchers.
