Joshua Goodman has a diverse range of work experience in the field of psychometrics and research. Joshua has held leadership roles at the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, where they served as Vice President of Research and Exam Programs, Senior Director of Psychometrics and Test Development, and Director of Psychometrics & Research. In these positions, they planned and implemented psychometric processes, managed a team of psychometricians and data analysts, and oversaw psychometric work for external clients. Joshua also has experience in academia as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Georgia and as an Assistant Professor at James Madison University, where they taught courses on research methods, statistics, and measurement. Prior to that, they worked at Pacific Metrics as the Director of Measurement Research and Operations, where they managed a team and provided support to K-12 testing programs. Joshua also has experience as a Research Scientist at Pearson, where they led psychometric activities for statewide testing programs. Joshua's earlier roles include being an Intern at AICPA, a Teacher at Guilford Day School, and a Science Teacher at Guilford County Schools.
Joshua Goodman's education history begins in 1992 when they enrolled at the University of Delaware. Joshua completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology and Biology in 1996. Joshua then pursued further education and from 2003 to 2005, they attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, earning their Master of Science degree in Educational Research Methodology. Continuing their academic journey, Joshua completed their PhD in Educational Measurement from the same institution from 2005 to 2008.
