Olivier Verscheure

Olivier Verscheure is a prominent academic and industry leader in the field of data science and artificial intelligence. Currently serving as a Titular Professor at EPFL since March 2024, Olivier is also the Founder and Director of the Swiss Data Science Center, a collaborative initiative focused on advancing data science research and practical applications. Additionally, Olivier holds positions as a Board Member at Lonza, a Member of the Foundation Council at SWITCH, and previously contributed expertise to the Mobility 4.0 working group at the Federal Roads Office FEDRO. Olivier's extensive experience includes a significant tenure at IBM, where Olivier was a Program Director and Senior Research Manager specializing in Big Data Analytics and Systems. Olivier's academic credentials include a PhD in Computer Science and a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from EPFL, alongside a Bachelor's degree in the same field from Faculté Polytechnique de Mons.
