Amy Nicholas has spent their career fighting for equal rights for all. Amy began their work in the legal field as an intern at the U.S. Department of Justice and then as a law clerk at the Indiana Attorney General's office. Amy continued their work in equal opportunity when they became an Equal Opportunity Specialist at the U.S. Department of Transportation. In their current role as an Advisor at the National Council on Disability, Amy is able to continue their work advocating for those with disabilities and making sure they have equal access to opportunities.
Amy Nicholas has a Juris Doctor from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Electronic Media from the University of Cincinnati.

National Council on Disability
NCD became an independent federal agency in 1984. In 1986, NCD recommended the enactment of an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and drafted the first version of the bill which was introduced in the House and Senate in 1988.
