Marty Homan

Marty Homan serves as the DMV Communications Director for NCDOT since June 2019, overseeing communications for the Division 5/Triangle area. Responsibilities include managing public and media relations, coordinating stakeholder engagement, and responding to media inquiries. Prior to NCDOT, Marty held the position of Public Affairs Officer at the Franklin County Board of Commissioners from February 2007 to June 2019, where tasks included writing newsletters, news releases, and maintaining the Board's website. Marty began a career in political organizing as the Lead Field Organizer for Kilroy for Congress in 2006, leading a team on a congressional campaign. Marty holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Affairs Journalism from The Ohio State University.
