Valerie Mitchell

Valerie Mitchell has extensive work experience in the oil and gas industry. Valerie is currently serving as the Corporate Director at Freehold Royalty Ltd since 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of President at Troy Energy starting from 2020.

Valerie Mitchell also worked at NCS Multistage as a Corporate Director in 2019. From 2016 to 2019, they served as the CEO and Member of the Board of Directors at Corterra Energy, LLC, where they managed a 25-person technical and financial/corporate team and an 8-person field operating team.

Before that, Valerie Mitchell worked at Newfield Exploration, holding various roles such as Vice President, Mid-Continent (Division CEO) and Vice President, Corporate Development. Valerie also served as the General Manager for the Mid-Continent region and as an Asset Manager.

Earlier in their career, they worked at El Paso as a Reservoir Engineering Manager and Manager of Special Projects for the President of Exploration & Production, as well as at Shell as a Reservoir Engineer.

Valerie Mitchell obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia between 1990 and 1996. During their undergraduate years, they also had the opportunity to participate in a study abroad program at Nanzan University in 1992-1993, focusing on Japanese Studies.
