Colleen O'Connell

Colleen O'Connell has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Colleen worked as a Senior Communications Project Lead at NEA starting in January 2023. Prior to that, they served as a Public Affairs Specialist at The South Carolina Education Association from March 2021 to January 2023. Colleen also held the position of Vice President at Reynoldsburg Education Association from July 2020 to March 2021. Before that, they worked as a Communications Coordinator at Ohio's New Educators from August 2018 to March 2021. Colleen also has teaching experience, having worked as an English Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies Teacher at Reynoldsburg City Schools from July 2017 to March 2021. Lastly, they served as a Graduate Assistant in the James A. Glenn Writing Center at Xavier University from August 2014 to December 2016.

Colleen O'Connell completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English (Writing) and Honors Studies from Northern Kentucky University from 2006 to 2009. Later, they pursued a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Elementary Education: Middle Childhood Licensure for Science and Language Arts from Xavier University from 2014 to 2017.
