Michael Gelhaus has a diverse work experience in various roles. Michael began their career as a Co-Founder of Studierendencafé Hochschule München in September 2011, where they worked until October 2012. Michael then joined Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship gGmbH in December 2012 as an E-Learning-Spezialist, and their tenure ended in August 2013. In March 2014, Michael became the CEO & Co-Founder of nearBees - Honig von Nebenan, a position they currently hold.
Michael Gelhaus completed their education in corporate management and economics, earning a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree from Zeppelin University in Friedrichshafen. Before that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in management of social innovations from Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences. Michael also pursued a certificate in social innovation from the Social Entrepreneurship Akademie. Gelhaus supplemented their education with additional studies, including an Erasmus Semester in civil society, human rights, and management at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, as well as an academic program for entrepreneurship at Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship gGmbH.
