Khalid El Maghawry is an experienced image and data processing engineer currently employed at Nearfield Instruments B.V. since January 2022. Previously, Khalid served as a research assistant at Forschungszentrum Jülich, where algorithm development focused on detecting and segmenting artifacts in satellite CMOS sensor images and optimizing computational complexity for CubeSat resources. Khalid's earlier roles include student assistant positions at the Alfred Wegener Institute Helmholtz Centre for Polar and Marine Research, the Institute of Environmental Physics at the University of Bremen, and as a teaching assistant at Jacobs University Bremen, where responsibilities included data visualization and python coding guidance. Khalid's foundational experiences in reservoir simulation and well logging tools came from internships at Schlumberger and Halliburton. Khalid holds a master's degree in Environmental Physics from the University of Bremen and a Bachelor of Science in Geophysics from Ain Shams University.
