Scott Mayes

Scott Mayes has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Scott currently holds a position as the Technical Director at NearForm since 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Technology Officer at KLEKT from 2021 to 2022, where they developed and executed a new technical strategy to eliminate legacy technology and drive business expansion.

From 2017 to 2021, Scott worked at Digital Ventures as the Group CTO, leading technology, operations, and product functions across multiple businesses. Scott focused on creating technical strategies that added value to end users and facilitated business growth.

In 2017, Scott also worked at the Department for Education as a Delivery Manager, where they led a pilot program to make the organization more agile and efficient. Scott developed a detailed proposal on adapting supporting functions to become more agile.

From 2016 to 2017, Scott served as a Delivery Lead at Equal Experts, overseeing the successful delivery of Informa's flagship product. Scott also worked at EasyRoommate as the CTO from 2014 to 2016, defining and implementing technology strategies for the global flatshare community.

Scott's career started in 2000 at FDS International as an Assistant IT Manager, where they quickly rose to the role. Subsequently, they held various technical leadership positions at Reading Room, a full-service digital consultancy, before joining HostelBookers.com as the Director of IT in 2007.

Throughout their career, Scott has demonstrated expertise in driving technological innovation, strategic planning, team management, and delivering successful projects.

Scott Mayes completed their Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computing from the University of Hertfordshire from 1997 to 1999. Additionally, they obtained the certification of being an IRONMAN Certified Coach in September 2016.
