Carly Wegner has diverse work experience in the philanthropy and advancement field. Carly most recently served as the Chief Philanthropy Officer at Nebraska Children's Home Society since March 2020. Prior to that, they held multiple roles at the University of Nebraska Foundation, including Director of Membership for Women Investing in Nebraska and Director of Regional Advancement from September 2015 to March 2020. Carly also worked as the Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement at Albion College from March 2014 to August 2015.

Carly Wegner pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in International/Global Studies and English from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln between the years 2008 and 2012. Following their undergraduate studies, they went on to attend the University of Michigan - Rackham Graduate School from 2012 to 2013, where they earned a Master of Arts degree in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration.
