Richard Cookson

Richard Cookson currently serves as the Lead Product Manager for Housing & Resident Management at NEC Software Solutions, a role started in January 2023, which involves leading a team of product managers to enhance housing software solutions by collaborating with Registered Social Landlords (RSLs) and Councils. Prior to this, Richard held the position of National Head of Income Recovery at Places for People Homes Limited from July 2020 to January 2023, overseeing a significant rent collection of £360 million and managing a team of 84 across 74,000 properties, particularly during the challenges of the pandemic. Richard's earlier experience includes serving as the Head of Income, Processing & ICT at Derwent Living, where significant transformations in IT solutions were achieved, and as Finance Centre Manager at Lloyds TSB - Blackhorse, starting in July 1990. Richard's extensive background in social housing and income recovery reflects a strong commitment to optimizing operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
