Kyoko Tanaka

Director, Global Investment And Strategic Alliance at NEC

Kyoko Tanaka has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Kyoko is currently working as the Director of Global Investment and Strategic Alliance at NEC Corporation since July 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Business Development in Japan for the Estonian Investment Agency at Enterprise Estonia from June 2021 to July 2022.

Before joining NEC Corporation and Enterprise Estonia, Kyoko held the position of Managing Director - Japan at Realeyes - Attention Measurement, an Estonian AI-based emotion tech startup. During their tenure from February 2020 to June 2021, they established the company's Japan entity, executed market-entry and Go-to-Market strategies, and formed a strategic alliance with NEC.

Kyoko also has experience as a self-employed consultant, focusing on MaaS/Autonomous Driving Branding Strategy and Service Design. From September 2018 to October 2019, they provided consulting services in new service creation, communication strategy, and market research, among other projects.

Kyoko'sprevious roles include Branding and Communication Manager at Renesas Electronics America, where they led the branding strategy for the company's startup business in IoT platform service. Kyoko also worked as an Assistant Manager of Business Development at Marubeni Corporation, Manager of Business Development at Meiji Yasuda America Incorporated, and Project Coordinator in the New Technology and Incubation Division at JETRO USA.

Additionally, Kyoko served as a Manager in the Global Strategy Division at Faith, Inc., Manager in the Product Marketing Division at Macnica. Kyoko has a demonstrated track record in business development, branding strategy, global market entry, and strategic alliances.

Kyoko Tanaka obtained a Master of Advanced Study in International Affairs from the UC San Diego School of Global Policy and Strategy (GPS) in the years 2012 to 2013. Kyoko'sfields of study were focused on International Political Economy and International Business.
