Paul Sesta

Senior Manager Training Operations at NECA Education and Careers

Paul joined NECA Education & Careers in 2021, following 26 years in vocational education and training. He worked as a teacher and course coordinator for 17 years and taught at multiple levels up to the Diploma level in the fields of transport and logistics, and occupational health and safety. Paul then moved into various management positions for academic programs in higher education and vocational education and training sectors, as well as a range of trade teaching departments. As a result of his passion for learning and education, Paul completed a Graduate Diploma of VET and a Master of Tertiary Education Management from the University of Melbourne.

This range of experience in course coordination and management of teaching departments led Paul to NECA Education & Careers, which appealed to him as an innovative and adaptive organization. As a leading trade school with a great teaching team and culture, it was the right fit for his skills in industry collaboration and developing individuals and teams.

As Senior Manager Training Operations, Paul’s focus is the effective coordination of the teachers in the electrical trade school at NECA Education & Careers and oversees the delivery of the pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship programs. However, he also has responsibility for the management of fees for service courses. He enjoys the challenge of managing a dynamic environment and the opportunity to influence the impact the trade school has on its students.

Paul appreciates the cooperative environment at NECA Education & Careers, where he sees how essential collaboration between staff is to the process of improving the learning experience for the student, with the aim of making it the best possible.
