Ben Niekerk

Ben Niekerk is an accomplished operations leader with extensive experience across various industries, including aluminium production, steel tubing, construction machinery, logistics, and tobacco. Currently serving as Director of Operations at Nedal Aluminium B.V. since April 2023, Ben previously held the position of Site Manager at Tata Steel Tubes, managing the production and finishing of steel tubes for the automotive and construction sectors. Prior to this, Ben was instrumental at Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) NV, where roles included Manager Factory and Manager Production, overseeing excavator manufacturing and assembly. Ben's expertise also encompasses logistics management as Senior Operations Manager at Katoen Natie, and project management in Lean Continuous Improvement at Philip Morris Holland BV. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Information Sciences from Avans Hogeschool Breda and a Master Black Belt in Lean from the Kaizen Institute.
