Mohammed Uzayr

Mohammed Uzayr is a seasoned quantitative analyst with extensive experience in the banking and finance sectors. Currently serving as Quantitative Analyst III at Nedbank since January 2023, Mohammed has progressed through various roles, including positions as Quantitative Analyst II and I. Prior experience includes serving as a Business Intelligence Analyst and Data Analyst at CCI South Africa, and as a Credit Risk Analyst at Al Baraka Bank South Africa, where expertise in IFRS9 impairments and credit risk modeling techniques was developed. Earlier career stages included roles as a Finance Clerk and Finance Graduate at Telkom, specializing in capital budgeting, asset management, and internal audit. Mohammed holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Data Science and a Postgraduate Diploma in Finance, Banking and Investment Management, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Marketing, all from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
