Jacco Hooikammer

Conservator Nederlandse Streekdrachten at Nederlands Openluchtmuseum

Jacco Hooikammer has extensive experience in the museum sector, currently serving as Conservator of Dutch regional costumes at the Nederlands Openluchtmuseum since September 2002, where responsibilities include managing a collection of regional clothing and accessories. Previous roles at the same museum involved documentation management, collection oversight, and project work on the registration of regional costumes. As a volunteer at Museum Staphorst since 1996, Hooikammer contributes to exhibition development and collection documentation. Additional experience includes serving as Secretary, Board Member, and Committee Member for the Dutch Costume Association, focusing on organizing educational events, and participating as an editorial member for the Dutch Art & Architecture Thesaurus. Hooikammer also served as a jury member for the Eef Bosch-van de Kolk Prize in 2011. Educational background includes a degree in Museology from the Amsterdam University of the Arts, completed in 2002.
