Caspar Sassen is currently a PhD candidate at Nederlandse Zorgautoriteit (NZa) since September 2023, focusing on research related to alternative funding for palliative care. Previously, Caspar served as a policy advisor in the Medical Specialist Care department at NZa and completed an internship thesis on relational contracts in Dutch medical care, achieving a grade of 8. Caspar has also worked as an administrator at Ondernemerscentrum Muiderpoort and as a consultant for Stichting Medical Business. Earlier experience includes a role as an employee at Albert Heijn. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Health Economics, Policy & Law from Erasmus University Rotterdam, an exchange program at the University of Oslo, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
