Karen Bourn M.ed.

Karen Bourn M.Ed. serves as the Eliot School Principal at Needham Public Schools since July 2013, previously holding the position of Assistant Principal at Broadmeadow School. Prior experience includes ten years at Natick Public Schools as a Grade 4 Teacher and a year as a 3rd Grade Bilingual Teacher at Boston Public Schools. Karen began their career in education at Prince George's County Public Schools as a First Grade Teacher and has also taught as a Grade 3/4 Two Way Bilingual Teacher in Attleboro Public Schools. Academic credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from UMass Amherst, a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Boston College, and currently pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Administration from Boston College.
