Shawn Maddox

Shawn Maddox is an experienced fire service professional currently serving as a Fire Analyst at NEFCO Fire Investigations since March 2022, and as a Captain/Assistant Fire Marshal for Albemarle County Fire & Rescue since November 2012. With a background that includes code enforcement, origin and cause investigations, and hazardous materials response, Shawn Maddox also contributes as an Adjunct Instructor for the Virginia Department of Fire Programs. Previous roles include Deputy Fire Marshal for the City of Staunton, where responsibilities encompassed managing code enforcement and reviewing construction plans, and a Firefighter/Medic for Wintergreen Property Owners Association, providing Advanced Life Support in the region. Educational qualifications include a Master of Business Administration in Public Administration from Columbia Southern University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from Eastern Mennonite University.
