Douglas Sessions

SVP, Training at NeighborWorks

Douglas M. Sessions comes to Neighborworks America from the International Baccalaureate (IB), where he served as head of global professional development business development, helping to create and lead a new directorate responsible for designing, developing and evaluating all professional learning products and services for IB educators worldwide.

In addition to his tenure at IB, Sessions has served as an independent consultant, senior principal for growth & partnership at Communities in Schools, executive director of the Asia Society's International Studies Schools Network, world wide education business development manager for the Hewlett Packard Company, a private school headmaster and a public school teacher.

Sessions currently serves on the International Education Professional Advisory Board at Kent State University. He completed his undergraduate work at Seattle Pacific University where he self-designed a Bachelor of Arts in International Service. He received his Masters in Teaching from the University of Portland and did his doctoral studies in Educational Leadership at Washington State University.
